What is Ten Minutes Peace?

The Ten Minutes Peace Practice

The Ten minutes peace is a 10 minute yoga and stretching programme with focus on breathing and gratitude practices.

Designed to enable children, teachers and parents to embed a wellbeing practice in their school life, home environment, and beyond.

Time and cost effective; TMP offers a chance to pause and re-group at any point in the day with a few simple techniques.  It is practised as a group with the class teacher bringing everyone together, or at home as a family. Helping create a sense of unity and care for others.

Who is it for?

The simple, accessible routine that can be practised first thing in the morning or at any time of the day. It includes Yoga/stretching, breath awareness, gratefulness practice and meditation. All in 10 minutes

For children, it is a chance to connect with their bodies and feelings.

For teachers, it helps bring awareness to children’s physical and mental wellbeing and can be a positive teaching tool.

For parents, it provides a useful technique to help children manage stress and anxiety

I use Ten Minutes Peace after lunch when the children come and sit on the carpet. They are hot and sweaty from running around at lunch and often feel restless from the transition. After doing Ten Minutes Peace, they feel much more relaxed and are ready to learn.
