I am a Londoner living in Camden with my husband and two daughters. My introduction to yoga was in October 2004 when I went on an adventure to Canada to the Sivananda Centre in Quebec with an old friend. I love the structure of the Sivananda method but I am always inspired by other techniques as well. In 2012 I started practicing Jivamukti Yoga and Completed my 300 hour training in the UK that same year. I then went on to teach in the Maggies Centre at Charing Cross Hospital for two years.
In 2017 I organised an event called Yogathon where five yoga teachers each taught a 45 minute class each at St Pauls Primary School in Primrose hill.
I saw that this had a really positive effect on teachers and children. This is where my curiosity was triggered. The question was how do I get something like Yogathon in to schools daily? The answer I think is Ten Minutes Peace!
“I found practicing Ten Minutes Peace in the staff room in the mornings a brilliant way to start each day! It has helped me to feel grounded and focused and ready for the busy day ahead. I felt noticeably calmer after each session. It was great to come together as a staff as well, very bonding, especially when sharing what we’re grateful for. ”
If you would like to bring Ten Minutes Peace to your school or home please get in touch.
